You must pay attention to the maintenance of a newly purchased small excavator during the running-in

The small excavator we just bought or the small excavator that has been overhauled must go through a period of trial operation, which is usually called the running-in period. The purpose of this running-in period is to prevent the small excavator from early wear and tear, which can extend the service life of the small excavator. During the running-in period of the small excavator, the following matters must be paid attention to:

Small excavators in the running-in period should hang a sign with the words "running-in period" in a conspicuous place so that relevant personnel can pay attention to the usage regulations during the running-in period. The sign can be removed after the running-in period.

During the running-in period, the engine is operated at a reduced load of 20%-30%. The lead seal of the engine speed limiter must not be removed. It will be removed by a technician after the running-in period.

Do not press the accelerator hard when starting the engine. When starting the engine at low temperature, preheat it for 20-50 seconds before starting. After starting the engine, run it at idle speed for 3-5 minutes. The speed and load can be increased only when the cooling water temperature rises to 40 degrees.

The technical preparations before starting the engine, the technical requirements during operation, the technical work before stopping and after shutting down, and other operations must be carried out strictly in accordance with the general mechanical operating procedures or the requirements of the engine instruction manual.

(5) During the first 30 or 50 hours of the running-in period, the small excavator should dig loose soil and fill the bucket with 1/2 of the capacity each time. The loading amount can be gradually increased in the next 70 or 50 hours, but it must not exceed 3/4 of the bucket capacity. At the same time, the operating speed should be appropriately reduced.

(6) During the running-in period, you should always pay attention to the operation of each mechanism of the small excavator, check the working temperature of the bearings, gears and friction pairs in time, and observe whether the hydraulic system has leakage. If there is any abnormal phenomenon during operation, you should stop the machine immediately for inspection, find out the cause and eliminate it.

(7) After the running-in period, the various parts of the small excavator should be inspected, adjusted and lubricated according to the operating conditions during the running-in period. At the same time, check the cleanliness of the lubricating oil in each gear box and the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic oil tank, and replace them if necessary.

(8) Technical personnel should strengthen the technical management of small excavators during the running-in period. Before the running-in period, the various requirements and precautions of the running-in period should be clearly explained to the operators; during the running-in period, the use and operation of the small excavator should be checked, and the small excavator running-in period usage record form should be filled in in detail, carefully and promptly. After the running-in period of the small excavator is over, the record form shall be reviewed by the responsible technical personnel and included in the technical file of the small excavator.
