HT504-E 50HP Tractor for Cattle Farm and Pasture Maintenance in France
Livestock Farm and Pasture Maintenance
Equipment: HIGHTOP HT504-E 50HP 4WD Farm Tractor
Project Overview
Luc, a cattle farmer in central France, runs a family farm focused on beef production. The terrain is far from uniform — dry, uneven slopes on one side, low-lying wet grassland on the other. Feeding cattle, hauling hay, and maintaining pasture all sound simple enough, but each task needs the right machine. Luc had been using an older tractor that required more and more repairs, with parts getting harder to find. He decided it was time for a reliable, easy-to-maintain machine that could handle the daily workload. He chose the HIGHTOP HT504-E 50HP 4WD tractor.
Customer Challenges
Luc's farm had a few very practical requirements for the tractor:
Operate stably on uneven, dry pastureland.
Handle daily tasks like feeding cattle and hauling hay.
Support a front loader and bale forks for moving hay bales and cleaning the barn.
Support implements like a rotary tiller for pasture maintenance.
Provide reliable performance in hot, dusty conditions.
Have stable parts availability and easy maintenance — no waiting for weeks when something breaks.
HIGHTOP Solution
The HT504-E is equipped with a 4WD system, providing traction on dry, uneven pastureland. Luc put it simply: "Some parts of the farm have hard ground, others are soft. Two-wheel drive slips easily. This 4WD machine moves steadily."
The 50HP engine delivers enough power for hauling hay and feeding cattle. The 8+2 gear configuration gives Luc flexibility between different working speeds — high gear for transport, low gear for feeding and pasture work.
What Luc appreciates most is the ability to mount a front loader and bale forks. He uses the loader bucket for cleaning the barn and moving feed, and swaps to bale forks to move hay bales to the cattle pen. "Before, moving bales was manual work. Now I drive the tractor over, and it's done in a few minutes." He also added a rear rotary tiller for pasture reseeding and soil preparation. The machine was selected with a ROPS configuration for safety and good visibility in open pasture.
Luc also mentioned parts availability: "We're far from town. When a machine breaks down, waiting for parts is the worst. This tractor uses common parts — I can get them in town. That's a relief."
Customer Feedback
"It starts every morning, even in the dry season. I use it for feeding the cattle and slashing the paddocks. With the front loader and bale forks, moving hay and cleaning the barn is much easier. With the rotary tiller on the back, I can reseed the pasture myself. For a 50HP tractor, it does more than we expected. Parts are easy to get, which matters when you are far from town."

Project Results
Since switching to the HT504-E, daily operations on Luc's farm have become noticeably more efficient. Feeding and hay transport no longer require constant machine adjustments, and pasture maintenance stays on schedule through the seasons. The front loader and bale forks allow him to handle hay bales alone — work that previously needed two people. Luc says what he values most is the machine's practicality — nothing fancy, but it works every day, and it's easy to repair. He has already recommended the tractor to two neighboring farmers. The question they all ask is the same: "Are parts easy to find?" His answer is simple: "They're in town."
