HT204 20HP 4x2 Compact Tractor – Simple & Economical for Small Farms
The HT204 is a 20HP 4x2 compact tractor built for small farms, orchards, and greenhouses where budget matters as much as performance. It’s simple, light, and cheap to run – exactly what you need for light-duty chores without the complexity or cost of bigger machines.
What it does well:
Orchard & vineyard work:Narrow 900mm wheel tread and tight 2.4m turning radius let you steer between tree rows without damaging crops.*
Small plot farming:Pull a rotary tiller, seed drill, or small trailer for daily chores around a few acres.*
Greenhouse & nursery:Lightweight 1060kg chassis won't compact soil, and low 1100mm height fits under low canopies.*
Runs on a simple JD295 single-cylinder diesel – parts are cheap, and any mechanic can work on it. 540/720 rpm PTO works with standard Category 1 implements. Optional rear ballast (60kg) adds stability when you need it.

Q1: Can the Hightop HT204 fit inside traditional plastic greenhouses or indoor stables?
A: Yes. The HT204 is designed for tight-access farming. With an ultra-narrow width of 1100mm and a low-profile height of 1100mm, it drives underneath low-hanging structures and crop canopies where standard small tractors cannot pass.
Q2: Is a 4x2 rear-wheel-drive setup powerful enough for daily farm work?
A: Absolutely. Thanks to its heavy 1060kg steel frame and 60kg rear ballast, this tractor converts its engine torque into 5.7KN of actual drawing power. It provides plenty of ground grip to tow trailers and pull tillers without wheel slip.
Q3: Does this micro tractor accommodate standard tractors and equipment attachments?
A: Yes. The HT204 features a standard rear-mounted ball-hinged three-point linkage and a dual-speed 540/720 RPM PTO. You can easily hook up standard Category 1 small implements like rotary tillers, seeders, and wood chippers.
